MISSION OF GERMAN American Heritage

The mission of the German American Heritage is to organize, promote and produce cultural, educational and joyful celebratory events. We offer festivals to continue German traditions and customs found throughout Colorado and the United States, celebrating German American Heritage and Culture. Fostering artistic, playful and cultural enrichment for audiences and in working with other European organizations will achieve better communication and understanding among peoples of different ethnic and international backgrounds.

From census figures for 2009 and 2013 it has been estimated that 23% of Colorado’s population can trace its ancestry back to German roots.

This mission also includes fostering a spirit of camaraderie and enjoyment of what is best about ethnic culture and heritage. We seek to unite various ethnic groups in the Denver area and throughout Colorado through dance, music and German food and wares to help preserve and enhance German and European cultures as part of the Colorado experience. In reaching out to schools, colleges and other artistic groups, German American Heritage Foundation hopes to include all those interested in preserving this cultural and ethnic heritage.

German American Heritage Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity color, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression or disability.  All are welcome to participate.
